Bio

Charles Baum began his photography career in the late 1970’s and worked for several years as an editorial photographer. His work appeared regularly in magazines, newspapers, and corporate publications. In the late 1980’s, he joined his father, visionary restaurateur, Joe Baum, in the restaurant business. Based in New York City, Baum became a co-owner of several restaurant ventures including Windows on the World and the iconic Rainbow Room where he was General Manager for eight years.

After divesting his restaurant interests in 2001, Baum very happily returned to photography. He is currently developing a book project based on his photographs of Atlantic City and its transformation over the last 30 years.  Charles Baum exhibits his work in New York City where he lives with his family.
